Our journey so far

We're having a great time in Primary 5 and we have enjoyed some extra plays for staying on the star. Each week we earn magic pebbles and the group of the week enjoys spending time on the Wii. We also receive raffle tickets to be entered into the prize draw at the end of the week.

We have been developing our capacity as Responsible Citizens through our Pujs topic by appreciating how the Hindu community worship. We really enjoyed learning about the God Ganesha and extracted information from a video clip to produce quality comic strips. Applying our understanding, we also produced an explanation of the process of Puja.

Miss McCurdy and Mrs Sloan have been very impressed with our skills in PE. In cricket we have been learning a variety of throws and we are now more skilled in guarding the wickets. We are really lucky to have a visiting coach in our class who is teaching us football skills.

As part of our France topic and the celebration of European Languages, we will be visiting Newmains Primary this Wednesday to enjoy a French cafe. Our class have learned a French greetings song which we will perform at Kirky's Eurovision Song Contest.

Primary 5 are really excited about the upcoming September weekend and Miss McCurdy thinks we have certainly earned our break.
