Welcome to Primary 5

Welcome to Primary 5 and the new term.  We are super excited to be starting a brand new year in Room 13 with our new teacher Mrs Maxwell.  Primary 5 is going to be a special year for us where we will have new challenges and responsibilities.

It is proving to be a busy and exciting term already.  We have already created a class charter which shows our rights in class and our responsibilities that go with it.   Our class understand the importance of taking ownership of our learning and behaviour.

Our new topic for this term is the Royal Family and Parliament and we have been working closely with Miss Fulton’s class to do this.  We have been learning some super facts about our fabulous Queen Elizabeth II.  Did you know that in 3 years time, Queen Elizabeth will have overtaken the reign of Queen Victoria? 

We are currently working on a solo talk on a member of the Royal Family past and present.  We cannot wait to present ours and to hear the rest in class next week.

One of the most exciting new things we will be doing this term is French with Mrs Coyle.  Primary 5 is the best!
